"Sonic Paint"

"Sail by AWONATION" - How do you see sound? This high-speed image is a capture of paint dancing to the music. It is a split second of sound from the song, Sail. White plastic is stretched across a speaker and paint is placed on the speaker. The music is queued and the volume turned up. The sound waves cause the plastic to vibrate and the paint to bounce into the air. 

It is virtually impossible to create two image that are identical. Making this a one of a kind photograph. I hope you appreciate the uniqueness of this as much as I do. Sometimes it is the little things in life that get passed over without notice.

Mounted in an 18 x 20 in. frame and double matted with white and black help accent image. The print size is 16 x 12 in.
