"Water Drop No. 8"

This high-speed image is a capture of water colliding into a container of water. The first drop is released and as the drop sinks into the water a Worthington Jet is created. As it rises, a second drop collides to create the unique shape. In this case an umbrella. You can see the droplets forming as it spreads out. A third drop was release and was captured just before the collision. I liked the anticipation of this third drop.
It is virtually impossible to create two drops that are identical. Making this a one of a kind photograph. I hope you appreciate the uniqueness of this as much as I do. Sometimes it is the little things in life that get passed over without notice.
Mounted in an 18 x 20 in. frame and double matted with white and black help accent image. The print size is 16 x 12 in.
